19 Years of hands-on experience in automotive technology projects, starting from conceptualization, through PoCs, till handing over to NPD teams.
Dual degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) from IIT Madras in Electrical Engineering. Got trained on European & Indian patent drafting and Indian Patent Act.
Created multiple designs from scratch for ISG (Integrated Starter Generator), and Hub-mounted Traction motors. Prototyped and tested the samples for functionality and endurance.
Several projects I worked on involved embedded systems starting from system design, code development, board bring-up, developing test cases, functional & perfromacne testing.
Created data acquisition and processing systems. Created a motor design automation tool rlib to reduce the human-involvement. Created GUIs and SW code layers for updating system parameters.
Worked on end-to-end development including creating specifications, DFMEAs, modeling, simulations, prototyping, testing, sourcing, and planning for bulk manufacturing. Also worked on motor control, specifically in creating the optimal reference currents id, iq using motor's non-linear characterization data. This work is integrated in MATLAB release R2022b onwards.
Designed the BMS with limited dependency on Li-chemistry, cell rating and pack size. Developed the software to control (dis)charging, and balancing based on battery and load conditions.
Created the plant model for the motorcycle brake system with various control algorithms. Developed algorithms for solenoid and motor control for adapting to various road conditions.
